Girls Lax Lite Camp 2023

 

We are looking to create female development (recreation lacrosse) opportunities to help grow female lacrosse participation by providing 6 development dates through April/May to introduce lacrosse and develop the supporting necessary skills.  Through June, play full scale games in the respective age groups.

 

DATES

• Sunday’s evenings to help avoid conflicts with other commitments.
  • April 7, 2024
  • April 21, 2024
  • April 28, 2024
  • May 12, 2024
  • May 26, 2024
• Month of June, look for Games.

LOCATION

• Weyburn Credit Union Spark Center

TIMES

• 6:00pm - 8:00pm

AGES

• Female athletes from U9 upwards.

EQUIPMENT

• Full box lacrosse gear
  • Helmet with Cage
  • Lacrosse/Hockey Gloves
  • Elbow Pads/Slash Guards
  • Shoulder Pads
  • Kidney Protectors
  • Jill
  • Running Shoes
  • Shorts/athletic pants
  • Water Bottle
  • Sticks

PLEASE NOTE: Hockey equipment works well & we have sticks to borrow if needed.

COST

• Included with Thrashers House Lacrosse Registration via PROMO CODE via emailing coach@weyburnlax.ca
• $ 75.00 for ONLY the Lax Lite Program

PLEASE NOTE: All Participants MUST be Registered via RAMP.

COACHES

• All sessions will be led by Certified Lacrosse Coaches.

We are hoping this program helps to remove some barriers for female to participate in lacrosse by providing an introductory program on Sunday evenings to help remove any existing conflicts that prevent these athletes from playing lacrosse.

Our intention is to offer this program for our Club and surround athletes that are interested in lacrosse on a casual/recreation basis through-out the Spring.
